Guadalmina Spa & Golf Resort, golf tradition

Guadalmina Hotel is located in Marbella, in a luxury complex of the same name. It is both a place of residence and rest of renowned politicians and members of Spanish high society. The Guadalmina Hotel Spa & Resort is one of the iconic hotels on the Costa del Sol and a paradise for golf players who love playing on the beach front.

The Hotel is a typical Andalusian style building. It has a wide variety of rooms that range from Standard, 35 m2 to Grand Suite, 130 m2. There is direct access for customers to the beach and the swimming pool, two important places connected where they can enjoy Balinese beds and sunbeds in a private area.

The Hotel Spa offers wellness, health and beauty treatments, both body and facial. Qualified Professionals apply these facial treatments using the prestigious face creams by Germaine de Capuccini.

Restaurants are also one of its cornerstones. Restaurant Taray offers an extensive continental breakfast buffet that includes a wide variety of Mediterranean products, both traditional and haute cuisine dishes. The à la carte restaurant Cocoa, offers an exceptional selection of exquisite traditional Italian dishes and Bar Acqua is an ideal option if you wish to have a refreshing drink or a snack any time of the day. It also offers a wide variety of cocktails, coffees and teas.

The hotel is closely related to golf since its beginnings. It is surrounded by two 18-hole itineraries of one of the best golf courses in Spain, the Real Golf Club de Guadalmina, where guests can enjoy special fees.

Guadalmina South opened in 1959 and it is the second oldest golf course on the Costa del Sol. It features winding fairways under the shade of ancient trees. Fairways are wide and rough free. In 2002 this golf course was remodeled completely which meant a new golf course with new tees including “Super-seniors”. Greens were rebuilt and fairways were sowed with new grass.

Guadalmina North is considered a less complicated course. Despite the fact that is larger and more uneven, it has more trees and water hazards. It was designed by Folco Nordi and it opened in 1972; the river Guadalmina divides the course from the north to the south and holes 7,9,11 and 18 are disseminated along the way.

Besides, the hotel offers special prices and golf packages with the same fee for other golf courses such as Almenara Golf, Alcaidesa Links, Alcaidesa Heathland, Atalaya Old Golf Course, Atalaya New Golf course, Valle Romano Golf, Doña Julia Golf, El Chaparral, Santa Clara Golf and Cabopino.
