Hotel Lima: a great combination

The introduction of new technology into the hotel’s services means that today’s guests have more control over their stay. That enhanced experience plus Hotel Lima’s great location - just 100 metres from the beach and Marbella’s old town with its picturesque streets - undoubtedly makes for a great combination for any stay.

Hotel Lima

An inextricable part of the history of the hotels of Marbella, Hotel Lima has become one of the places to stay for visitors to the town. Following the complete refurbishment of the hotel, finished in 2020, a new chapter in its story has opened, with innovation now at the heart of its mission.

When Hotel Lima set out to completely refurbish the premises – the work was finished in 2020 – they wanted to bring guests a seamless experience, whatever the reason for their stay. With this in mind, its 61 rooms across three categories were redesigned and equipped with the latest trends in technology, interior design and sustainability. The Double rooms, covering 20 square metres, are very comfortable and soundproofed as well to give guests total privacy; the Premium room is defined by its quilted covers, duvets and pillow menu; and finally, the 35-square-metre Junior Suite has a completely separate living area where guests can relax or work, in addition to the sleeping area.

Sustainability is one of Hotel Lima’s commitments; all the amenities in the guest rooms are fully recyclable, as are water containers used in the rooms. The air-conditioning system is intelligent and prevents energy waste and CO2 emission. What’s more, all the used water from the bathrooms is then totally recycled and reused in the hotel’s toilets. Another feature setting the hotel apart is the linens and fabrics in all the rooms. Sheets, towels and bathrobes are made with organic fibre by a company that uses 100% recycled plastics in its packaging – certified by an external auditor.

Even though it is a town hotel, Hotel Lima set out to evoke the cosmopolitan vibe and seafaring tradition of Marbella in its Virazón restaurant, which is the name of a wind blowing off the sea and brings back the original name of its first restaurant. Another of the new guest areas is the swimming pool and chillout area on the rooftop terrace. The Rooftop Virazón Bar is ideal for a relaxing drink or celebrating a special occasion with its panoramic view of the town centre and La Concha mountain in the background.

In terms of other extra services on hand, the hotel has a private pick-up and drop-off service for its guests from and to Malaga’s airport or Maria Zambrano railway station. In addition, to help guests get about, there is a shuttle service to some of the popular places locally, such as Puerto Banús, La Cañada shopping centre or the resort’s street market.

The quantity and quality of golf courses in Marbella has made the town the centre of golf on the Costa del Sol and year after year it welcomes thousands of enthusiasts arriving with golf bags in hand. Hotel Lima has a pick-up and drop-off service at Malaga Airport for golfers and a transfer service to the area’s golf courses.
