La Cala Resort, the leading 4-star golf resort in Spain, continues to improve its offering to guests with the further completion of a second phase of upgrades to the iconic Clubhouse area.

After completing a first phase of renovations to the outdoor patio area of the La Cala Clubhouse last year, the resort has continued making improvements with changes to the La Cala Clubhouse bar and restaurant.

Accompanying the extended outdoor terrace area, renovations and improvements have been made to the interior of the Clubhouse. The updated look provides a refreshed, modern feel, as well as featuring an improved seating area and stylish furniture. Combined with a new and improved clubhouse menu, this is an attractive new offering for La Cala guests.

Modern and spacious, the new interior layout features sliding doors all around, bringing in even more light to the entire room and providing open areas in which guests can admire the stunning scenery of the surrounding La Cala landscape. With unrestricted views overlooking the golf course, hotel and distant Andalusian countryside, the La Cala Clubhouse continues to showcase the very best La Cala has to offer.

These latest renovations to the clubhouse will be accompanied by the unveiling of a brand-new clubhouse menu, offering guests a traditional Spanish-themed menu complete with more elaborate and unique La Cala dishes. As part of this updated menu, Head Chef Brian Deegan includes a signature dish, ‘The Irish Angus Steak Sandwich.’ With gruyere cheese, watercress, cos leaves and a horseradish and sour cream dressing, the mouth-watering steak sandwich brings an Irish feel to the local Spanish-style menu. It’s a subtle nod to La Cala’s Irish owners, FBD Hotels and Resorts.

In a room next to the bar and restaurant, the renovated La Cala Clubhouse will also include a sports-style lounge area filled with TV’s and comfy seating. This offers guests the perfect location to relax while watching a variety of the latest live sporting events on show.

With these improvements, the La Cala Clubhouse renovations offers guests a versatile dining and relaxing area, putting the clubhouse at the heart of the action at La Cala Resort.

“We are constantly looking at ways to improve our product to deliver the best possible experience for guests at La Cala,” says Sean Corte-Real, Resort General Manager. “The team at La Cala is highly driven to make this beautiful resort the very best it can be. This clubhouse upgrade is the latest in an ongoing drive to ensure our facilities are setting the standard in every department. It’s exciting for the future, as we continue to get better and better.”

The official opening of the new clubhouse took place on Wednesday 8th of March, where local golf trade and media partners were able to enjoy the renovated facilities, as well as sampling some dishes from the new menu.

The efforts to improve and upgrade the facilities at La Cala have resulted in industry recognition and a series of awards. In recent weeks, the IAGTO golf tour operators voted for a 2nd straight year that La Cala is one of the resorts that delivers ‘the best experience and service for their golf travelling clients.’ La Cala was awarded the 2023 IAGTO Outstanding Service Award, a title which only eight other resorts in Spain received in this year’s awards. This award follows recent recognition from the industry-leading Golf World Top 100 Rankings who rated La Cala as the 73rdbest golf resort in the world in their Top 100 World Resorts list.
