La Lonja Marbella, fish and seafood amongst Andalusian tiles

Spanish people are the biggest fish consumers in Europe; and together with Japan are ranked the world’s top countries. There are many good restaurants in Andalucía that serve fish and seafood. However, eating first-class fresh fish is not an easy task. La Lonja de Marbella is a must restaurant if you want to taste this sea delicacy.

The restaurant is located a few metres from the sea promenade and it is easily spotted as it is decorated with Andalusian hand-painted tiles on the front. La Lonja de Marbella features a lively terrace, a detailed interior decoration and “the usual” tastes of Andalucía, fish and seafood without any fancy preparation.

The idea behind La Lonja de Marbella was clear from the beginning. It had to be the place where customers could rediscover the pleasure of eating good grilled fish and seafood with an excellent wine selection. Thus, La Lonja de Marbella started taking shape and as well as fish and seafood it offers soupy rice with lobster as the restaurant’s specialty.

There are three factors that make this restaurant attractive: high-quality products, high quality service and a good wine selection. There are no creative recipes or fancy elaborated dishes on the menu; just fish and seafood cooked plainly: steamed, grilled, fried or in the oven.

Products in the fridge are bought fresh daily so the menu changes depending on the fish available at the market and the season of the year. Grilled fish, fresh seafood, tasty fried fish dishes and good wine are the products you can enjoy when you visit La Lonja de Marbella.

The Andalusian hand-painted tile decoration on the front is the restaurant’s distinguishing mark and its lively terrace is the place to choose if you want to enjoy the good weather in Marbella and have an excellent meal.
